i know there's a lot of other stores, but they all require at least a little forethought, like xferring money from bank accounts and all that garbage. I don't have bank accounts or paypal accounts because i'm afraid of the BEAST, so i usually deal in cash and have to use friend's pay pals and credit cards (yeah, it's a hassle and a lot of work but i feel way better at the end of the day not giving a dime to banks, CCs, etc)
Plus bullmoose has the cheapest BB's around. Azteca 2's are six bucks there all the time, and they're right down the street. I know a lot of the people there, and they have legit the best selection of dvd's around, and if they don't have an album or movie you want, if they have it in another store or it's on amazon, they'll order it for you to their specific store.

I sound ;like i'm still trying to give them props...motherfucker. I just can't believe they'd do this to me again.

plus the fact that i don't goddamn fucking drive and have to pay people to drive me places (i guess i don't technically have to pay them, but who wants to be that guy?) and the store is 25 fucking minutes away from where i live. GODDAMNIT I'M STILL PISSED!

It might not help, but I'd write someone high up (a manager or corporate or something--I'm unfamiliar with this company, sorry). A lot of times if you complain in writing to them, you're more likely to get something out of it. Maybe they'd offer you free stuff? And are you pre-paying for stuff when you order from them? Just curious b/c you said you generally pay cash and that would royally suck if you prepaid for a case and were told they didn't get your preorder & would have to order you another (and charge you again). Do they give receipts when you pre-order stuff? If they don't, throw it into your letter that they should to help prevent shit like this from happening.

After returning from yet another SDCC and talking to a ton of artists and seeing some new designer vinyl on the market and talking to people in general about production...

what grinds my gears is the fact that you don't have to be an artist to get a designer vinyl piece produced. The majority of pieces out there the artists don't have anything to do with "hands on" wise. You can basically have a half assed idea in your head about a figure/toy and find someone that can draw and pay them to work with getting that image outta your head and onto paper. Then once they got it down you find a sculptor to sculpt it into a 3D piece. Then you find a factory and send the sculpt off and get toys made.

So basically if you have a ton of money to hire REAL artists to draw or sculpt something for you, you can have your own production designer vinyl toy. :/
