There is an internet cafe in Seattle that has at least two 3D printers. The guy who owns the place showed me the printer he built and then he showed me the one that he printed out from the one he built.

Is anyone using this technology to make toys?

Or, is anyone using this technology to make weapons or robots or clones or food or livers or hearts?

It is a pretty exciting time to be alive if you ask me!

I did check that out and what I found was that for a 3d printer to print something like 2"x2" (I think) cost like $600.

I don't recall the exact pricing at the place here in Seattle, but a friend of mine printed out a skull for his keychain there and it was around $10. I also recall the owner saying the plastic he is using is the cheapest you can use.
