So I got the book now, ordered from Amazon it's about $17. So much good info it's ridiculous. The guys who recommended it to me work for Gentle Giant, and I now realize that Tim Bruckner, one of the authors, is the guy who owns Gentle Giant (or one of the owners anyway). They mostly do stuff for DC, Disney, Avatar, stuff like that. But very interestingly, they're also the people who did the KAWS Nico heads, giant Chums and Companions (currently doing big-ass Accomplices) and they also do the huge Robert Williams pieces, so I think we can assume these folks know their shit and then some.

Psssst, hey guys... it's ridiculously helpful. I'm finding out stuff I'm doing wrong and having "eureka!" moments every couple of pages. Some are big things, some are little things. Some might be common knowledge, but were news to me anyway. Lots of stuff in there about Super Sculpey tips and techniques, using Vaseline to bond pieces more securely (how's that for counter-intuitive), mold-making stuff, etc.

I swear I'm not getting any commission on these, the book is just really good for people like us.

Getting this book for xmas! Should be awesome, less then 2 weeks away and I can dive in.
