I remember there was a time about 5 years ago when those boards were full of useful threads and nice people just like here. Fast forward a few years when I got my person stuff together and back into toys and when I went back to those boards it was total chaos. It looks like it's mostly people claiming they can sculpt the next David out of any vinyl and that anything that isn't made by some super established artist is instantly flamed to hell. I figure it's mostly due to the obscene size that those forums have grown into and that it's filled with mostly non artist, trendy collectors. Some one mentioned it burning, which will probably be true; all the actual talent will post in useful forums like this with infrequent posts to Kidrobot (it is a little hard to not want to try and put anything one produces on that forum to try and sell because of the sheer volume of people there).

I've seen a down turn on KR too, in terms of quality and quantity of posts...

indeed, in the short time i got addicted on these toys, KR has done some crazy things..
price went up, board went down, and still is...

They also dont listen to the ppl...
We from europe can only buy from kidrobot.eu, and all the things they put in the webshop are different with the price as in .com

also, isn phpBB not a free service? or do you have to pay for add-ons, or...? Because it seems to me that KR could solve a lot of these problems pretty easily. Plus, letting bots access your ish is like asking for intermittent crashes, right?

Yes phpBB is free, you just have to pay to host it etc. add-ons can be done for free too (if you can do them), if not then you contract the work out to a programmer. Bots are not good.

All that crashing on the KR boards were a joke....They kept letting it happen. They've got the money to stop that kinda shit to stop...They've the power to complain but it all seemed pretty meh..sometimes it work sometimes it didn't.

I go to the boards but I just don't post. What I hate about that boards if you aren't 'well known' it's hard to get feedback on your work and such. Before it never seemed to be like that. More KR becomes mainstream the less the boards will be interesting to go too..More ppl complainin about shit that doesn't matter.

B/S/T used to be good..But now I keep hearing horror stories....Even ppl who are respected not livin up to trading/selling right...Evil :/

i thought that originally there was a time posted that the boards would be back up, but i can't remember what the time was.

The boards were up for a few minutes yesterday, but went down shortly after. I saw on someone's FB today that it might have been extended to Thursday.

really weak. right after a release, they do it. not for months, but right after the 2011 release.

this is really whack...but i have to say that im kinda like these boards more...people seem to be freindlier thats for sure...and i know alot of the same peeps on here are the same on there, but i think theres jus a different vibe here..

it's definitely cooler than KR. plus i think being allowed to say things like shit and the like makes aggression move through normal expressive channels. Dunno if it applies to everyone, but it makes me feel more calm.
